About the Producer:
Bodega Pago de los Abuelos is Nacho’s personal project in D.O. Bierzo. Nacho specializes in making wines from Godello and Mencia from his own vineyards that are on the original rootstock planted by his great-grandfather in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The steep hillside slopes contain slate and decomposed granite soils. The vineyards are mix-varietal planted, requiring all work to be completed manually, as each grape type has a different harvest time.
