The Berthenet family has been growing vines for about four centuries. The estate is located in Montagny in the Cote Chalonnaise. The estate works with passion to respect the environment. All the plots are planted from selected grafts from the estate's nursery.Terroir & Vineyard Practices:
Bonneveaux comes from the only parcel located in Buxy that total 1.40 ha. The vines average 20 years-old. The plot sits with eastern exposure and is planted in clay-limestone soil with iron-oxide.Tasting Notes
Les Bonneveaux is exquisite - a full-bodied, fruity, and delicate wine. It has bright aromas of citrus and green apple that are enhanced by the subtle oak treatment adding notes of browned butter. This wine is at its peak when served with dishes such as fillets of sole. Drink from 5-10 years.Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity to achieve the best balance. The grapes are pressed gently. The juice is vinified and aged in stainless steel and demi-muids for 18 months. This treatment results in a more harmonious wine that highlights this unique terroir.Press
