Tasting Notes

Beautiful dark ruby color. Black fruits on nose, with a hint of freshness. Rich and fat on the palate with good tannins.

Manual harvesting. Sorted and 100% de-stemmed. Fermentation and maceration for about 20 days. No chaptalization. Wines rest in second year barrels so the wood does not dominate. malolactic fermentation in casks. Wine moved using compressed air. Bottling by gravity after 15 months.

  • "This too is quite earthy with the same dark cherry aromas though here there is a bit more breadth in the form of pepper and sauvage nuances. There is good volume to the punchy medium-bodied flavors that possess solid depth and slightly better length. Drink 2020+." Allen Meadows, Burghound
