Naoussa, located in Macedonia, Northern Greece, is a premier wine region famous for producing high-quality PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) red wines made exclusively from the Xinomavro grape. Established in 1971, these wines are known for their high acidity, strong tannins, and complex aromas of red fruit, olives, and tobacco, often compared to Piedmont’s Nebbiolo.
