“One sexy Gigondas that’s loaded with notions of kirsch, black cherries, graphite, and crushed rock-like minerality, the medium-bodied 2017 Gigondas Le Mas has a terrific core of sweet fruit, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Based on 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvedre, raised 80% in concrete tanks and 20% in barrels, it’s a ripe, polished wine that stays pure, balanced, and Provençal.
