Bodegas Proelio is a dynamic winery in Rioja that produces modern-style wines. High-altitude, north-facing old Garnacha vines on calcareous, iron-rich silty soils with rocky colluvium over clay and limestone. Environmentally conscious.
Vinification in oak vats with punch-down. Aging in traditional barrels.
Expressive red fruits, wild herbs, and spice from old vines. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and a fresh, elegant finish.
High-altitude, north-facing plots (Tempranillo from Clavijo and the Sonsierra, Garnacha from Alto Najerilla) on calcareous and colluvial soils; organic certification applied for.
Vinification in oak vats with punch-down. Extended aging in traditional barrels.
Classic Rioja Reserva: mature red fruit, leather, and vanilla. Balanced and elegant with well-integrated tannins.
High-altitude, north-facing plots in the Sonsierra, Clavijo and Alto Najerilla, farmed with low-intervention viticulture.
Vinification in oak vats with punch-down. Extended aging in oak barrels.
Selected harvest. Deep color with dark fruit, spice, and toasty oak. Full-bodied with firm tannins and great aging potential.
